BIA results and other updates

Wow, it’s been ages since I’ve posted…sorry! It’s been a crazy time – schedule is busier than ever and I’m still adjusting to all the big changes I’m making all around.


So I had my BIA (Bio Impedance Analysis) done last week.


Results? In my first 4 weeks:


Bodyfat: Lost 6.5 pounds


Muscle: Stayed the same


Cellular health market (phase angle): Indicates a significant jump in cellular health! In fact, the increase has been the highest jump this office has ever seen in this marker in anyone in such a short period of time. Cool!


Intracellular water – Good increase (Very good indication).


Extracellular water – a bit low. Need a little bit more hydration, but…


The big picture shows that I am also detoxifying my body very well with very positive and healthy results!


Normally, I would have been dismayed that I didn’t gain any definitively measured muscle mass; but from the years of experience I have found that this is not the only measure. I feel how my muscles are changing. I am stronger. I also know that during this time after a long layoff, by nerve-muscle connections are growing and becoming more effective. This is very important for our muscles to be able to work as efficiently as they can and it takes a bit of time for this ‘communication’ within our bodies to get better established. The neuromuscular system of our bodies is very complex in a phenomenal way. So this aspect will just keep getting better and better as long as I stay on track with workouts, BUT…


. . . I DO feel I need to perform something very different with my workouts to make my muscles really grow. I basically need to shock the you-know-what out of them, make them work in ways they NEVER have before and do things like I’ve never done them before.

I may go way out of my comfort zone, but it’s the only way I can find out - and my past is not a good history to show me what has worked (in terms of extraordinary achievement, that is), so I have to go into new territory. I WANT EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS.


Any suggestions?


I’m looking at two regimens right now that I need to decide on. One by Hugo Rivera and one by Eric Broser (Power / Rep Range / Shock or P/RR/S workout.)


Bodyfat loss was with no cardio work being done, just eating 6 times a day, eating the right food and the right portions, and good supplementation. What is also great about this is that I was right on for only about half the time (2 of the 4 weeks). The other 2 weeks I was okay, but not great. Certainly not 90% per what PN system suggests. So, again, if I keep getting better with this, I expect even better results if I saw this in only 2 weeks of the 4 being right-on.


Diet evaluation – Still feel like I need to take in more good carbs than last 4 weeks. I think that is necessary for me to get the muscle mass increases I am looking for. Mental note, made. :-)



Detoxification: At the time I had my fist BIA, I had just started on a superfood regimen which I have a link to on the right. I didn’t want to say too much until I had data to support the changes that I felt in my body.

So as for detox, there is an amazing thing called zeolites that I have introduced – something that has taken years to harness properly and finally it is done. These are not your typical detox mechanics. Zeolites are made from volcanic material, processed in a specific way, which is a cage-like structure (perfectly safe, organically processed and no chemicals).

So what happens is that unlike other detox methods where all the toxins still come into contact with your kidneys, liver, etc. the zeolites act like a sponge-cage and trap all the toxins inside of them as they pass through the body. This trapping method keeps the toxins from coming into contact with your internal organs as they pass through so they are much safer and less taxing on your system.

I couldn’t be happier with this product and the data shows that I have not only detoxed, but in a safe way where my body does not seem to be adversely affected. A sad fact about the toxic state of our bodies in our current environment:

The typical umbilical cord of a newborn baby at this time contains approximately 200 chemicals that don’t belong in the human body. What are we doing to ourselves?!?!


I’ll post in the next few entries about the other superfoods that I have started too, that have made such amazing changes within my body in the last 4 weeks. I have just been overwhelmed by what a human body can do if given the nutrients it needs to do everything it is designed to do. A comment that was made by the nutritional counselor as I left my BIA appt. last week was that she was going to use me as a “Walking billboard for Superfoods”.

  1. Vic I will be very interested in following your journey! Can't wait to hear about your other Super Foods........Looked into the Maca and really think I will try it out. Hoping I can find it at the local health food store, if not I'll be ordering online!
